In 2018, we faced some seriously intense rainfall until around 6 PM, causing many attendees to arrive much later than expected. Nevertheless, they made it just in time to witness incredible performances by PEER, Waltzburg, and Mozes & the Firstborn. Little did we know that all three of these bands would go on to grace the stages of renowned festivals such as Concert at Sea, Best Kept Secret, Zwarte Cross, and Appelpop, achieving international success in the UK, Asia, and the US. This was also our third time hosting the festival in the MetaForum market hall: the festival’s backup in case of bad weather. Despite the weather, it’s worth noting that allegedly in the final hour of the 2018 edition, an astonishing 300 liters of beer were tapped.
In 2018, we were delighted to have Mozes and the Firstborn as our headliner, a goal we had been aiming for over the years. Adding to the excitement, there was a booth at Plugged with VR glasses and digital music experiences, enhancing the overall festival experience.
